Place of Vape – Vaper-Café with Liquid-Shop

Small coffee tables and folding chairs stand in front of a shop window façade between the fish market and a burger bar in Germering. There's no smell of eel, mackerel or deep-fat fryers here. If passers-by get stuck because of the smell, it's because - depending on the time of year - there's either a cloud of speculoos, fruit aroma or mint in the air. "Our steamer café with real Italian espresso from Kimbo is a unique selling point," says Susan Sarikaya, explaining what makes the Place of Vape so special. Together with Alexander Gruber, she has been running the vape store and café since April 2018. It is their second store - and both offer the latest liquids from happy liquid.

MTL expert with an overview

Susan actually vapes all the time. She doesn't have a favorite flavor, she likes to try out new varieties. So it never gets boring, and not just in terms of flavor. Susan has made many new friends and contacts through vaping.

Susan used to smoke. When she heard about e-cigarettes, she wanted to give up cigarettes and switch to vaping. "But there were no vape stores here at the time, so I had to order the first ones directly from China," says Susan, looking back. In the summer of 2010, she finally took her first drag on an e-cigarette and stuck with it.

As a self-confessed mouth-to-lung vaper, Susan only uses MTL devices - "because it's more comfortable". Like the liquids, she also likes to change the vaporizer and uses the latest models available. There's nothing wrong with that, after all, her customers not only expect a large selection of liquids and equipment, but also appreciate expert advice. Nevertheless, Susan can't hide a small soft spot for different versions of the Aspire Nautilus.

Currently, young (18+) and old looking for e-cigarettes, vaping accessories and liquids can get expert advice from two experienced vapers at Place of Vape. Susan has identified the fact that her customers not only value the expert advice, but also the opportunity to talk to other customers as an advantage over online retailers. The cozy atmosphere of the vape café meets this requirement perfectly. The operators of the Place of Vape wanted to get away from the often sterile look of some vape stores. "Everything here has a vintage look. We have a fully-fledged café," says Susan, proudly emphasizing the feel-good factor of her store.

Will vapor stores become the new coffee houses? The operators have at least designed the Place of Vape with this in mind and are continuing to expand their café concept. In summer, the outdoor area of the Place of Vape is naturally more cozy than in winter. When the outside temperature is low, some customers like to reach for the speculoos liquid and fill not only their cup but also their vaporizer with "mulled wine "*.

With just a little information and high-quality liquids for optimal vaping advice

Anyone vaping for the first time brings certain expectations to the Place of Vape. Would customers like to produce opulent clouds of vapor like a shisha or rather less vapor like MTL vaper Susan? Armed with a little more information, Susan and Alexander can put together the ideal e-cigarette with suitable liquids for each customer. All they need to know is what budget is available and which brand of cigarette the vapor candidate has smoked so far and in what quantity. The brand is crucial for selecting the right nicotine strength of the liquid, while the number of cigarettes smoked per day determines the required battery power of the e-cigarette.

Susan's goal is to "free as many people as possible from tobacco addiction". It is important to her to pay attention to quality. "The liquid should be from a reputable manufacturer," says Susan. "Strawberry menthol" from happy liquid is the most popular liquid at Place of Vape. The manufacturer of high-quality and creative liquids from Munich has a particularly good reputation among customers in Germering. "In my opinion, the tobacco varieties from happy liquid are the best tobacco liquids," emphasizes Susan.

For newcomers to the vaping scene, she advises them to choose a flavor that the customer likes anyway. This also applies to liquid gifts: if the recipient likes sweet fruits, a sour lemon liquid might not be the best idea. In addition to the general flavor, the viscosity of the liquid is also important. Not every ready-made liquid is suitable for every e-cigarette.

The most unusual request came from a lady who wanted to buy an e-cigarette that doesn't need electricity for her trip to Africa. Well, not all wishes can be fulfilled at Place of Vape, but almost all.
