As the primary substance in e-liquids, propylene glycol (more accurately propane-1,2-diol) is responsible for the flavor transport as well as the vapor. Propylene glycol and the nicotine provide the “hit” or “kick” in the throat area during inhalation that smokers are familiar with.
Qualitatively speaking, the PG must be of the highest purity. For this reason, we use exclusively USP quality, that is, the purest form, as used in pharmaceutical products.
Propane-1,2-diol is used in creams, cosmetics and even toothpaste. It is used primarily as a humectant.
Some beginners and converts sometimes complain of coughing at the vapor and equate this with an allergy to propylene glycol. This is usually a mistake.
Unlike conventional cigarettes, e-liquids are not blended with any additives that might numb the respiratory tract. There may be some coughing, but this does not last. An allergy is still a major exception.
Instead, vapers tend to notice significant improvements in their respiratory tract after a short period of time. This is due to the elimination of tobacco and the residue from its combustion (including tar, among other things).
We use a ratio of 80% PG, 10% VG and 10% bi-distilled water in our PG base.
Vegetable glycerin is used in most e-liquids to make the vapor more stable, dense and soft.
In the case of glycerin, purity is everything as well.
happy liquid is satisfied only with USP standard at a minimum, which is equivalent to pharmaceutical quality.
You should accept no less.
Since vegetable glycerin is thicker than propylene glycol, its application in e-liquids is only partly useful.
For this reason, we always use a balanced blend of VG and PG.
This means that happy liquid always has great vapor development and the best flavor transport.
Given the properties of vegetable glycerin, it cannot be used freely with all flavors. It suppresses soft flavors very quickly, reducing the intensity of the flavor.
As a result, you will notice that only selected happy liquid varieties contain a VG blend.
We use a ratio of 60% VG, 20% PG and 20% bi-distilled water in our VG base.
